Overview:

In conjunction with our BIM and engineering team, our Truss Designer position is both challenging and rewarding. This is a demanding role that provides ample opportunities for learning and to develop a deep understanding of architecture, engineering, construction, and design technologies. The Truss Designer position provides a very large opportunity for growth both personally and professionally.

The Truss Designer will be working will be working closely with Syntech’s BIM team, structural engineer and senior team members throughout complete project lifecycles. The Truss Designer will be actively involved from project kick-off to final deliverables; play an active role in the production of construction documents; and participate in finding opportunities for innovation.

Responsibilities

Opportunities exist for a range of responsibilities limited only by ambition

• Collaborate with team members to meet challenging deadlines

• Model truss profiles and establish preliminary truss layouts

• Design truss webbing with MWF Truss software per engineering criteria

• Generate reports for engineering review

• Create Truss shop drawings

• Export CNC files for truss fabrication

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field of study preferred

• 1-5 years AEC experience
