Modular Housing Manufacturer

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our team at a leading modular housing manufacturer. As an Electrician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the electrical systems of our high-quality, modular structures meet our rigorous standards of safety and functionality. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a controlled environment with innovative building techniques that contribute to sustainable and efficient housing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and maintain electrical systems and components in modular units, including wiring, lighting, and electrical panels.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Work closely with other tradespeople, including carpenters, plumbers, and designers, to ensure seamless integration of all components.
  • Conduct inspections and quality checks to identify and rectify any defects or issues in the electrical systems.
  • Properly maintain and store all tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and production schedules.
  • Stay updated on the latest electrical techniques and modular construction methods to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as an electrician, preferably in modular or prefabricated housing.
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in using electrical tools and equipment, strong understanding of electrical code and safety regulations.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure precision in all tasks.
  • Ability to read and interrupt blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve construction issues effectively.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
  • Must have a valid state Driver’s License and personal vehicle insurance coverage
