Our Revit Specialist position is both challenging and rewarding. The Revit Specialist will be working closely with senior team members throughout complete project lifecycles with heavy utilization of Revit. Synergy Steel’s architecture, design and engineering firm, Syntech Design is currently seeking a talented  and ambitious individual to manage an exciting and rapidly growing team.

The VDC / BIM Manager works directly with project teams to oversee deliverables from project start-up  through design and handoff to Manufacturing and Construction. This position is responsible for  planning, executing, and closing out all client deliverables through the utilization of Revit and BIM, at the Division level.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute Project Specific BIM plans
  • Develop and manage project schedule templates from project start through design and deliverables of each project
  • Manage weekly milestone task achievements and adherence to process
  • Document and report weekly project schedule updates, deliverables, changes, and adjustments to Senior Management
  • Interact with Pre-Construction Managers, Project teams, and Clients to communicate project details, timelines, and changes
  • Manage BIM process throughout preconstruction, design, and construction.
  • Coordination of the design and estimating team members for all project deliverables
  • Manage modeling for performance and documentation for quantity take-off reports to be utilized for supporting the Estimating Dept.
  • Analyze models provided by internal and external team members to ensure they meet project specifications and adjust for internal use in Estimating and Construction Operations
  • Create and manage content library files and templates.
  • Create, manage, and enforce company drawing standards.
  • Manage each team’s development of Revit models for adherence to project specifications throughout the preconstruction and design process

    • Manage the implementation of supporting software and plug-ins for BIM
    • Evaluate new BIM related software and technologies
    • Stay informed on best practices for use of Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM
    • Stay informed on other BIM related software products and their interaction with Revit
    • Continued education of software use and program updates

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Construction Management
  • 2+ years direct BIM/VDC Management responsibilities required
  • 3+ years of experience in the Construction Design required
  • 2+ Experience in Construction Operations a plus
  • Proficiency with Autodesk Revit Suite, AutoCAD, and BIM is required
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows, and Microsoft Office is required
  • Experience with PlanSwift, MWF are a plus

Description of Position

Synergy Steel is seeking a qualified Construction Framing Manager who will be responsible for the oversight of all residential and commercial framing activity within their assigned project(s) (within the Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA areas), including the scheduling and supervision of all Company employed field assemblers and the inspection and acceptance of the work performed.

Essential Position Functions

  1. Organization of all framing activity, including preparation of weekly schedules.
  2. Manages and provides guidance to Team Leaders and Field Assemblers at assigned Project(s).
  3. Enforce scheduling and the quality of workmanship by reviewing job sites to ensure that each project is delivered to the client within the time specified and in an acceptable condition established by the Company.
  4. Maintains all necessary records for scheduling work, ordering materials directly from the Company’s panelization factory.
  5. Act as company’s representative in dealing with clients throughout framing period and responsible for servicing any necessary warranty related work.
  6. Orders, calculates, and schedules delivery of material and supplies as needed.
  7. Obtains governmental inspections as needed and represents company at such inspections.
  8. Responsible for ensuring that all Federal and State safety requirements are met and followed.
  9. Exemplifies a positive and can-do attitude at all times driving positive results
  10. Leads by example and recognizes employees for a job well done and demonstrates resourcefulness and willingness to help others
  11. Works directly with Operations Plant Manager on process improvements
  12. Ensures all project documentation / filing / follow-up is thorough, accurate and timely

General Description:

Our manufacturing company is seeking assemblers to join our assembly line team and/or also our field assembly team. We’re looking for dedicated individuals who always show up for work on time and who thrive in a team-oriented environment. Successful candidates will have some prior experience in assembly and be capable of reading shop drawings. Our Assembly line workers usually rotate jobs and learn more than one part of the assembly process, including material gathering, construction, quality control, value-added applications and shipping. An assembly line or field worker reviews and follows instructions, diagrams and blueprints to complete his/her task.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Willingness to rotate through multiple stations on a shift to ensure maximum alertness and preparation
  • Familiarize yourself with the tools, instrumentation and calibration equipment
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assemble components accurately, thoroughly and quickly to approved specifications
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Double-check connections to ensure they match and immediately correct any discrepancies.
  • Inform supervisors of any part or equipment defects to ensure prompt response to the problem.
  • Assists Machine Operator in keeping equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer’s instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies.
  • Conserve resources and supplies to facilitate minimum waste
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Communicate with other stations on the assembly line to ensure maximum speed and accuracy.
  • When working in the field, understands accurate layout from reading blueprint drawings.
