Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofing Installer to join our team at a leading modular housing manufacturer.  As an Installer, you will be responsible for the installation of roofing material and maintenance of our high-quality modular structures.  This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a controlled environment with innovative building techniques that contribute to sustainable and efficient housing solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine layout and installation procedures.
• Installation of roofing: Accurately measure, cut, and install various types of roofing materials including architectural asphalt shingles and metal roofing on modular structures.
• Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of roofing installation to ensure adherence to company standards and specifications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other tradespeople, to ensure seamless integration with other building components.
• Ensure roofing installations are watertight and comply with all relevant building codes and regulations.
• Safety Practices: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any issues encountered during the installation process.
• Ensure precision and accuracy in all work, maintaining high-quality craftsmanship.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks to identify and rectify any defects or issues.
• Properly maintain and store all tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
• Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and production schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in roofing installation, preferably in modular or prefabricated housing.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a recognized apprenticeship program is preferred.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand and power tools related to roofing installation.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Attention to Detail: Keen eye for detail to ensure precision in all tasks.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy materials and standing for extended periods.
• Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve construction issues effectively.
• Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Reliability: Punctual and dependable with a strong work ethic.
• Must have a valid state Driver’s License and personal vehicle insurance coverage
